I am Alex Moucha (dr. ing.), also known as “Dr. Fly”. I teach basic computing at AAU for three reasons: 1) I am confident that even students of non-IT subjects should have a solid understanding of what computers are, what their abilities are, and the limits and security issues in computing; 2) the students should receive these pieces of information from someone who works in IT each and every day (this is where personal experience comes into play) and 3) because I enjoy teaching! I am a Cisco geek and at present, I have 18 Cisco certifications (the highest being Professional level and Expert Instructor). Beyond IT I love to fly (I have a UL flight license) and astrophysics.

Hana’s background is quite multidisciplinary, she studied Chemical Engineering, Genetics and Biology, Economics and Business Management. She did her PhD in Nanotechnology at University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague. She was active as a researcher at different institutions – e.g., at Strathclyde University in Scotland and the Academy of Sciences of Czech Republic. She worked as well in Strategy department in the automotive industry – Volkswagen Company. She received her Executive MBA from Joseph M. Katz graduate School of Business at University of Pittsburgh. Currently she works as external consultant for Research Executive Agency in European Commission and has her own Company providing different services in Science, Research and Development. She is lecturing at international conferences about Innovation Strategy.
